Increasingly, I am asked to include mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) in our SAP calcs.  I have just down loaded the new version of JPA Designer which appears to have the Appendix Q ventilation data base contained within the software. 

However on the Appendix Q spreadsheet on the BRE site it still states that you have to use both the BRE spreadsheet and your own software and join the two. Can you please clarify the steps for carrying out the MVHR calculations?

I am completing a U-value and condensation risk analysis for a cavity wall construction. I inserted the cavity airspace as a normal unvented cavity space.  The program keeps telling me that because the layer does not have a water vapour resistance value a condensation risk analysis cannot be completed. If I imput a value will this alter my result?  What value should I use?
